What we do

A drawing you can read, a price that holds, an install that finishes on schedule.

Most of the calls we take start the same way: a kitchen that never worked, a laundry room full of wire shelving, or a great room with a dead wall beside the fireplace. We measure the actual space — not the plan — draw it in three dimensions, and give you a fixed written quote broken out line by line.

Every case is built in our own shop from plywood-core panels and solid hardwood face frames. Nothing is drop-shipped from a catalog, and nothing leaves the finish room until Barbara has looked at it under daylight lamps.

  • Free in-home consultation inside a 45-mile radius of Charlotte
  • Shop drawings and elevations before deposit
  • Conversion-varnish and waterborne finishes applied in a filtered spray booth
  • One lead carpenter assigned from measure to punch list

Six things we build better than anyone else in the Piedmont

Every project below is quoted individually. Ranges reflect work we actually completed in the past twelve months in Mecklenburg and Union counties.

01

Custom kitchen cabinetry

Full inset or overlay doors, dovetailed drawer boxes, soft-close Blum hardware, integrated appliance panels and hand-fitted crown. Typical kitchen: $24,000 – $68,000.

02

Built-ins & libraries

Bookcase walls, window seats, fireplace surrounds and media units scribed tight to out-of-plumb walls. Typical wall: $4,800 – $16,000.

03

Bath vanities & linen towers

Moisture-tolerant construction, stone template coordination and undermount sink cutouts handled with your fabricator. Typical vanity: $2,900 – $9,500.

04

Paneling, trim & wainscot

Raised panel, shiplap, board-and-batten, coffered ceilings and historic profile matching for Dilworth and Myers Park homes. Priced per linear foot.

05

Mudrooms & closet systems

Lockers, bench seating, drawer banks and adjustable wardrobe interiors that use the full ceiling height instead of stopping at 84 inches.

06

Refacing & refinishing

When boxes are sound, we replace doors and drawer fronts and spray the frames on site — roughly 40% of the cost of new cabinetry.

Client feedback

What homeowners tell us afterwards

★★★★★

"They found a two-inch bow in our wall that two other shops missed and built the run to match it. The reveal lines are dead even."

— Denise R., Myers Park kitchen
★★★★★

"Barbara quoted us in nine days, held the number through a countertop change, and the crew swept the floor every evening. Rare."

— Marcus T., Ballantyne built-ins
★★★★★

"We specify Kohler Millwork on projects where the trim has to match 1920s originals. They mill the knives themselves."

— L. Ferrand, interior designer, Dilworth

Reviews are collected from completed clients by email after final walkthrough. Names shortened at client request; full references available on request.
